印度教科書教孩子如何殺死小貓：看，它被悶死了！

印度的小學教科書“惹事”了。

因為，它教小孩子們怎樣去弄死一隻……貓。

引起爭議的是一本私立小學的教科書，據說有印度好幾百所小學都在用這本書做教材。

書中有“科學實驗課”的環節。這一堂課的內容呢，是讓學生們認識到空氣的重要性。

但是如何來認識空氣的重要性，這本教材的方法就很詭異了……

An Indian publisher has caused a furore with a school textbook that encourages children to suffocate kittens as part of a scientific experiment.

印度一家出版社引起了公憤：他們的一本教科書在一項科學實驗裡，鼓勵孩子們將小貓悶死。

The book, which is used in hundreds of private schools in India, includes an experiment in which two kittens were placed in separate boxes - only one of which had air holes.

印度有數百所私立學校在使用這本教材。教材裡有一個實驗：兩隻小貓放在不同的盒子裡，而其中只有一隻盒子上有氣孔。

"Put a small kitten in each box. Close the boxes. After some time open the boxes. What do you see? The kitten inside the box without holes has died," read the text.

書中這樣寫道：“在每個盒子裡各放一隻小貓。關上盒子。過一段時間後打開盒子。你看到了什麼？沒有氣孔的盒子裡的小貓已經死了。“

以如此平靜、淡定甚至“科學”的語氣來指導小孩子們把貓弄死，這真的……很“硬核”了！

雖然知道印度人民有時候“口味清奇”，但教科書公開鼓勵小孩子以殺貓的方式來做實驗，還是連不少印度人自己都看不下去了。

印度媒體《印度快報》先震驚體了一把——

“震驚！四年級教材竟讓學生做實驗去‘殺貓’，網友們都怒了！”(via The Indian Express)

是的，從標題到正文，這篇報道里的感嘆號無處不在……

真難過啊……這書的作者應該被禁止寫作才對！

據說，由於被太多人投訴，很多學校已經把這教材的“殺貓”一頁去掉了。("Many schools have now scrapped the offending page." via BBC)

當然，也有網友覺得，教孩子“殺貓”也沒啥大問題。

——畢竟誰上生物課時沒解剖過魚？誰小時候沒弄死過幾只螞蟻蚱蜢？誰沒拍死過蚊子？

貓是生命，其他的動物昆蟲就不是了嗎？

但在許多人眼裡，長相可愛的、能用來養做寵物的、可以陪伴人類的貓咪（還有狗幾），的確是與眾不同的。（雖然貓主子是真的在陪伴人，還是其實懶得理鏟史官，就另當別論了）

之所以這次“殺貓”弄得大家特別生氣，除了教孩子殺貓這件事本身就挺過分外，還可能因為……

印度的很多教材真的太不靠譜了啊！

比如，印度就有教材曾公然宣稱：吃肉的人愛說謊、愛偷東西、愛打架，無惡不作：
