'other, the other, others, the others與another的用法完全解析'

1. other表示“別的，其它的”,它不能單獨使用，後面必須要接可數名詞的複數形式。如：

He studies English, math and some other subjects. 他學習英語、數學和一些別的科目。

這句話中，就算前面沒有some，other後面也只能用複數形式。

I'll wear my other shoes─these are dirty.

5. another表三者及以上中的“再一，另一”個，後接單數名詞。這個單詞本來就是“an other”兩個單詞的連寫，所以它的前面不可能再用上冠詞an. 如：

（1）Have an another cup of coffee, please. 請再喝一杯咖啡。（錯誤，不能用an）

（2）Have another cup of coffee, please.請再喝一杯咖啡。（正確）

本句中如果用the other來代替another, 那意思就暗含這個主人一共只有兩杯咖啡，客人喝了一杯，再請他喝另外的那一杯。意思當然就不對了

6. another後還可以接“數詞+名詞複數”，這時是把“數詞＋名詞複數作為一個整體來看待的。如：
