中學英語裡none和no one的區別，你都記住了嗎？

高中英語裡經常出現none 和 no one, 大家使用時需要注意區別他們。

none與no one 的用法比較:

1. none作代詞時,可以指物也可以指人,是"一個也沒有"的意思。如:

The war broke out.All the people felt frighteded but none had left there. 戰爭爆發後，人們很惶恐但是沒有一個人人離開那兒。

There's none left on the table. 桌子上什麼都沒有。

另外,none後常接of短語,of後可接複數可數名詞或代詞,作主語時,謂語動詞用單、複數形式皆可;of後也可接不可數名詞,這時謂語動詞必須用單數形式。如:

None of the money on the table is mine. 桌上的那些錢都不是我的。

None of us enjoy getting up early. 我們中間沒有人喜歡早起。

Sorry, but none of us speaks/ speak English. 抱歉!我們沒有一個人講英語。

注意:none指的是三者或三者以上的人或物中"沒有一個";如果指兩者中"沒有一個"應用neither。請比較:

There are many bananas in the basket, but none of them are fresh.

籃子裡有很多香蕉,但沒有一個是新鮮的。

There are two oranges on the plate, but neither of them is fresh.

盤子裡有兩個橘子,但沒有一個是新鮮的。

2) no one= nobody 只指人,“沒有人”，不能指物,後面不能接of構成的短語。no one作主語時,謂語動詞只能用單數。如:

No one / Nobody likes a person with bad manners. 沒有人喜歡不講禮貌的人。

No one / Nobody knows about it. 沒有人知道這件事。

2.用於回答時,none用來回答How many... 或How much....引起的問句以及含"any (one) of+名詞"構成的一般疑問句;

no one/ nobody用來回答 Who...問句及含anyone/anybody構成的一般疑問句;

而nothing則用來回答What...問句及含anything構成的一般疑問句。如:

① - How much water is there in the cup?

- None.

② - What's in your handbag?

- Nothing.

③ - Who are for the plan?

- No one/ Nobody.

④ - Did any one of the travellers get injured in the accident?

- No, none was injured.

⑤ - Do you have anything else to say for yourself?

- No, nothing else.

⑥ - Did anyone want to attend the meeting?

- No, no one/ nobody wanted to.

3. none用作副詞,意思是"一點也不……",常構成none+the +比較級結構,還可與so或too等副詞搭配使用。如:

He is none the better since he left home. 他離家至今,情況並無好轉。

I hope you're none the worse for your accident. 我希望你在事故中沒受一點兒傷。

Do you mean that the dog is none so lovely? 你的意思是說這隻狗一點也不可愛。

You got home none too early, in fact. 事實上,你回家一點也不早。

4.none常常用於下面的短語中：have none of 不接受, none but 只有,none other than 正是,second to none首屈一指, none the+比較級，none too.如：

I will have none of your stupid ideas! 我才不接受你那愚蠢的想法!

None but a strong man could have lifted it. 只有身強力壯的人能舉得起它。

It was none other than Professor Wu. 那人正是吳教授。

In the output of grain, China is second to none. 在糧食產量上， 中國首屈一指。
